Happy 40th, Joe! Whee!!
Not dial-up friendly. Ganked from
seperis. JF is 40 today and his fans celebrate by spamming with screencaps and manips. So much Joe!
Wasn't feeling well yesterday, and I really need some quiet to finish a few things, so I'm working from home today. Went out for dessert on Wednesday night with high school friends since our friend from Halifax is in town this week (to make up for missing Christmas) and we're getting together again on Saturday. It's good to see everybody again. Hopefully I'll be feeling better by tomorrow.
If you haven't signed up for the

My brain keeps chewing on two The West Wing crossover plots:
1) My Toby/Nikki + Faith/Robin crossover. I've got the outline for a snippet in which Toby gives Nikki her leather duster for Christmas, and I've got a general idea of how Toby and Nikki first meet, and how Toby and Robin meet again years later.
Bernard Crowley, Nikki's Watcher and Robin's adopted father, is not going to be an uppercrust British bloke in this -- he will be African-American, an educated black man who studied at
Hampton University under Jewish professors who fled Europe (WW II era). Crowley, like Giles, takes up a position at his Slayer's school to keep an eye on her. He'll be Toby and Nikki's high school English teacher, and their mentor and friend.
I'm trying to decide if this crossover universe will mesh with my Seaborn for America epic. One of the epics, anyway, since this 'verse will probably go AU after S4.
2) My TWW/NCIS crossover (set TWW S7 and NCIS S3) in which Commander Kate Harper is kidnapped, possibly by terrorists, and Gibbs hauls Will in for questioning and there is some clashing of politics between CJ and Director Shepard. (Hey! Notice I don't call her Madam Director any more? She's finally grown on me.)
I want Sam and Elsie (married, baby) and I want Toby to cameo, though I can't figure out how to work him in. This particular crossover shouldn't be difficult to work into my (current) Seaborn for America epic, the one that includes
She Spake In Her Heart and
Both that morning equally lay.
Chewing, chewing, chewing. Won't let go! Oh I love crossovers. Now all I need is to actually write. Always the tricky part.
