What's Been Going On.....

Dec 13, 2007 02:47

Here's whats been going on with me as of lates.

--There are two of my roommate's dogs laying in my bed right now. Dillon is at my feet and Chase is at my left hip cleaning herself, both are under my covers. They apprently like to borrow under the covers and lay next to somebody's body.

--I'm watching "The Usual Suspects" for the first time, only because it's on Comcast On-Demand and I'm bored and I should be asleep so I can wake up at 7 to give my roommate a ride to the airport as she'll be in Hawaii until the day after Christmas.

--I need a new car battery and they're fuckin expensive. On late Sunday night/early monday morning, I brought my roommate to the Oakland airport to pick up a car our friend left at the airport. I had to get to gas first, and after I got the gas, I turned the key and...nothing, absoultly nothing. I tried the lights and the door locks, and nothing. So the battery is dead. I got a quick jump from someone driving a Dodge Charger and my car came back to life...For a few days anyways. Last night (Weds night) I took BART out to SF for a job interview and when I got back to the parking garage, got into my car, turned the key and nothing, my car's battery is dead again.

I grab a random man and his son driving a Mustang and he tries to give me a jump, the in-door lights come on along with a open door chime but they all shut back off within a split second, the nice man gives me a ride hope, his name was Alan....never got his son's name though. His son was fiddling with a ,I think, I-pod in the backseat, quiet kid. On the way back to my house, Alan told me that a few days ago he took his Mustang to the Ford Dealership and was told that his battery was dying.

After getting home, and calling around a few tow truck places that didn't want or couldn't want to help me, it dawned at me that maybe because this guy's battery was low on juice that could have been the reason why my car wasn't able to jump start. So my roommate gets back to the house with a rent a car, so we go back down to the Bart parking garage to give it another go and lord behold, the fucker starts up. So I was right, my car just needed a battery with juice, so my car is running for now, but I need to hurry up and get a new car batter because I have no idea how long this jump start will last.

--I'm still unemployed, I've been getting job interviews but either the job isn't good enough or I feel uneasy about going after the job and I skip out on going to the interview. The one I had last night was for Centerfolds, a strip club in San Francisco. The job is being a floor walker, it's 10 bucks an hour plus tips. I kinda got hooked up with a interview via my roommate's ex boyfriend who I guss is the manager of The Garden Of Eden, a stripclub a few blocks down from Centerfolds.

The interview was very odd. Basically the guy made me play the waiting game for about 10 minutes while walking back and forth in front of me as I sat waiting at a bar that had those touch screen video game monitors. After making me play the waiting game, he finally came up to me and introduced himself to me and asked me to walk with him and so I did. Well I did only for a few seconds as he had to cash out a girl really quick, so I ended up playing the waiting game for another 5 minutes or so. After he came back, we basically talked about things as we walked through the club. He took me down to the girls dressing room, I don't know why but he did and I had to follow. I kinda felt wrong to walk in there as I didn't work at the club. The girls kinda gave me this odd look when I came out of the doorway but they really paid no attention to me.

The guy told me basically what my job would be, which would be making the customers feel comfortable and talk to them about exploring other parts of the club, basically selling the clubs services while watching the girls and the floors as well. He told me he had a few shifts open but I told him I'm only looking to work 12 pm to 7 pm (that's a day shift.), as I only want to take Bart back and forth, it'd be a lost for me to drive out there and stay until 2 am. Bart basically stops running after midnight. He wants me to call him tonight (Thursday) after 6 and he'll let me know.

Though I'm still un-sure if I want the job or not. I kinda did the math, and it seems without the tips, I wouldn't make much more than what Unemployment is already handing me over. I'll see what the guy who interviewed me had to say and I'll go from there. Either way, I don't plan on starting until Sunday anyways. The reason being...

--I have a pro wrestling MATCH on Saturday. That's rigt folks, I'm actually my in-ring pro wrestling debut on Saturday. I'm wrestling a 6 man tag match or 3 vs 3. It'll should be intresting. People keep asking me if I'm nervous about it and I honestly don't know how to answer that. At the moment, I'm really not nervous, I know I will be come show time but that's pretty much it. Right now I'm more worried about just getting though the match and what's going to happen after the show is over.

--If I do take the Centerfolds job, my wrestling training is going to have to stop. At the moment, I have to make some money and if the job requires me to work when there's training sessions, then so be it. At the moment, I feel that making money so I can make it on my own is where I need my head to be, so that's the direction I'm going. If the Centerfolds job falls through...then we'll see what happens.

--If it does fall through, then I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to move back into my mom's place. It's something I REALLY REALLY don't want to do, but if I can't find a job then I'm just going to have to accept it. Unemployment is only taking me so far, but it's not going to be very far if I decide to live in Concord and pay rent, in-fact, if I stay in Concord and manage to pay another month's worth of rent, I think I'd be worse off then I am now. I told my roommate that I'm pretty sure I can't come up with the rent in Jan. I did tell her if anything I could at least give her half of it to kinda help her out until she finds a new roommate. She told me she didn't want to lose me as a roommate, but I told her if nothing comes up soon, then I'll have to go. It isn't fair of me to make her late on rent or bills because I can't find a decent job. So if I have to go, then I have to go.

-- I've been pulling a lot of all nighters lately then sleeping all day long. I'm pretty sure it's because I got laid off. I used to do this before I got my job at Design Select but kinda stopped because I had to get up so damn early to go to work, but now because I don't have to get up early anymore, I'm pulling the all nighters again and sleeping for a good portion of the day. Even though I'm doing this, I'm still submitting resumes, if anything sleeping for a good portion of the day and staying up all night stops me from going out and spending money on random stuff that's not food or bills or gas. :0)

--I started this post a few hours ago, Dillon and Chase, the two dogs that were sleeping in my bed, next to my hip and in-between my feet have now returned to their doggy kennels and are sleeping in there. "The Usual Suspects" is over and it was a good movie..to bad I already knew how the movie ended due to VH1's "I Love the 90's"..thanks VH1, Thanks. So now I'll end this post because it's 5 am and I have no idea what else to write about.

--Goodnight.
