For awhile now I've been thinking about getting a 2nd job. It would be for a few months, I wanted to get it so I could pay off the rest of my wrestling training and help me buy a new computer.
It's not that my training is a whole lot, it's $150.00 a month and I only need to pay that until Jan, 2008 but I figured I would get a 2nd job, save up the remainder that I need and then use the 2nd job money for something else for a little while. Basically just use the 2nd job to save up for stuff or pay stuff off. While using my main job to pay the bills or other...things (strippers).
Well the idea was brought up last night when I went to the nearby Gamecrazy to pick up a game I had pre-ordered. The guy who runs the Gamecrazy near by my house is a manager I've had before when I worked at the Gamecrazy in Benicia. To be honest, I really didn't like working with him. He was kind of a dick when I worked with him. We kinda got a long but at the same time we kinda didn't, and that kind of made him a dick when we didn't get a long. He had a differant workstyle than me and the other two guys who worked at that store at the time, and it just because a task to work with him. He didn't wanna change his work way with us and we sure the hell weren't going to change the way we worked for him. Plus I would call him out on a lot of things as well when he tried to do something either sneaky with us or with one of the customers, so that didn't help matters either.
But that was also a time when myself and the other two guys who worked for that store were really frustrated with the overall store and company, plus he was frustrated as well with the company because they kept moving him around as a manager, when he was just promoted as a manager.
Anyways enough with the backstory, so last night I went into the Gamecrazy in Concord to pick up my game, and he was there. We talked for about half an hour and somehow the topic of me taking up a 2nd part time job came up. I'm not entirely sure how it came up, it just did. He asked me what kind of hours I would want and such. I told him I would just want 15 to 20 hours a week and that I could really only do work on Tues., Weds., and most Fridays. I could work on Sundays as well, but Sundays just sliped my mind, and that it would have to be nights.
He told me to talk to him in two weeks and he would let me know. I guess the company is going to start giving managers more stores to manage so he's going to need the extra help at the Concord Gamecrazy, and he knows having someone like me, who excelled at getting sales numbers, and a lot of experiance with that company would be a huge boost for that store.
At the moment, I'm thinking about it. I have two weeks to figure out if I would really want to go back and with that company, that manager, and that District manager. The District Manager is the same one who pretty much wanted me out of Benicia and the company when I worked at the Benicia Gamecrazy. If I did go back to work with Gamecrazy and went to the Concord store, I would go in on a differant outlook.
I'm not going to go back into Gamecrazy thinking that I want to become promoted to a manger or worry about things like that. I would go back into Gamecrazy looking at it as something to just give me extra money for the next 4 or 5 months, and that's it. It would only be something that I'm doing so I could save enough to pay off my wrestling training and maybe get a brand new desktop computer.
So I have two weeks to think it over, if I do go back, like I said it would only be for a few months, only about 3 or 4 days a week, getting 15 to 20 hours a week and just saving the money up. So I'll think it over and we'll see what happens.
Feel free to give your thoughts on the matter.
