man, school has started becoming more a part of my life.. its weird, last semester, TV was about 80% of my free time.. and now lately, homework/reading is about that much. its not so bad except for one class. design methods.. this class is 3 credits, yet the teacher dishes out assignments like its 5 credits.. its insane the amount of work she expects us to do i think.. it doesnt seem so bad at first, but the work is hidden.. like this:
we will be quizzed on the architects in one of our textbook. there are about 150-200 in the whole book, so we are taking sections at a time. the first 25, AND a building they did, AND where it is located will be quizzed next week. we have to write down all three elements of each archiect without promting (i suppose she said there would be small clues) but still.. we have to have 75 pieces of information just sitting around in our brains and then puke it up onto a piece of paper. then 75 more in a week.. its nuts.
one of the textbooks shes having us read straight through, the most boring thing ive ever read..
my studio teacher is of middle-eastern decent, and i cant understand him most of the time. i feel bad because i know its hard for anyone to speak a second language perfectly, but at the same time i wish they would have made sure he could communicate effectively with students, and i feel like has trouble with that. last semester barnhouse was awesome, so maybe im just used to having that great communication with him and this is how it usually is. i dont feel like im going to get as much feedback and response from this new guy as i want. blah, so yeah..
this saturday me and melissa might be going to olive garden with her friend from high school and her fiance. it sounds like fun, and i guess they invited us to a murder mystery type deal, sounds interesting.
i cant wait to go home for a weekend and chill with all my peoples!
