i saw a false notion tonight and so did my parents. and melissa too. we showed up at the beggining of "chariots" and they, i thought, sounded pretty cool.. but yeah, a false notion rocked, they played all the EP songs and a couple new tunes and wow.. dang, if they dont get any label attention with this new EP im going to be very sad, because they deserve it more than a lot of bands out there these days. at the show i ran into kirsten and jenna, good people. i bought 2 shirts and the cd from adam p, and also got to talk to jimmy and casey briefly. we left before a summary execution played because me and mel had to drive home tonight and my parents didnt really want to stay any longer. o well, i got to see ase's first show when they didnt have a name, that was awesome. i also got to see them about a year ago so thats cool too.
i got a new phone on saturday, its an LG flip phone, its pretty sweet and i like it a lot.
resovoir dogs is a good movie, i saw that on saturday night with mike. good times.
in summary i hate not having any money at all and i hate depending on every penny from work just to get by.. i suppose its not so bad compared to most people in the world, who depend on the good will of others just to meet their basic needs each day. i cant believe how fortunate i am to have the things in my life to satisfy me AND THEN some. at the same time i feel almost guilty for indulging in these pleasures while others can only dream to taste them. God, give me the compassion to put my own needs behind the needs of others, and to always think of them first.
