I haven't written a journal in some time, so I guess I should keep whoever gives a crap enough to read this but not enough to talk to me in the last, say, month, in the loop.
I live on my own. It is quiet and lonely most of the time, but I like it a lot.
All 3 of my jobs are done for the summer, and I start orientation for grad school a week from today. ("But Alex, you don't start grad school until January!") There is no orientation for the spring semester, so I am going to this one.
I got a 5.1 surround sound system for my computer, so now I am surrounded by emo music. It is very cool.
Lisa came to visit almost a month ago. It's really been a month already. That was... nothing short of amazing. She's... it means a lot to me that she came to see me. I hope I can see her again soon.
I got an account at last.fm which is sort of a music blog.
It lists what I'm listening to.
The MaCH-1 Program is over, which was... well, it was what it was. It paid well, and sometimes it was fun, like when I paid Dave a dollar to cut a line of a pixie stick. ("I have the drips, but it's like all sugary so it's cool!")
I am only taking 15 credits this fall, a full 2 classes less than usual. The lineup is: Finite Groups and Fields, Real Analysis, Teaching College Math, History Of Math, and Introduction to Photography. I only have classes MWF and I'll work all day Tuesday, so I don't think I'll even go to campus on Thursdays, which is cool.
Finally, my Radio show will be back this fall, 10-1 Thursdays (9-12 for all you Central Timers). I hope to have a better turnout this year. I'd rather not regret deciding to do a show again.
That's all for now.
