Getting away from it all.
Was there a debate last week? Has the world ended yet because some of us won't bow
down an pray to communists? I wouldn't know. It's surprising how relaxing it is to just
get away from all of the bullshit. I spent the weekend camping with my brother at Elephant
Butte Lake, riding the pontoon boat and jet skis, and generally relaxing. I do need to
simplify things more to reduce the setup time and packing/unpacking, but we had a pretty
good time. Some family and friends showed up for a while Saturday to celebrate two or
our upcoming birthdays and to have a nice steak cookout on the camp grill.
Unfortunately, sabotlours and carol_kitty didn't make it. We missed you! We
only finished off half of a 36 pack of Coors. That's just not right! Maybe next time. :)
I'll definitely be doing more camping and lake trips from now on.
