Prompt: 329. Two days from now.
Characters: Iris and Remy
Requested By: Cede

Two days from now, Iris would finally realize what an absolutely stupid, idiotic, moronic idea this was. She would wake up in the morning and stare long and hard at her reflection in the mirror, wondering just what could possess her to think it was smart. After all, she just didn't do things like this.

Well, alright, she did do things like this, although not as of late. Not since she'd taken Charles up on his invitation and come to join his merry band of mutants. They hadn't even done this.

Well, not since her first week at the mansion, anyway.

Still, here she was, halfway through a bottle of gin and losing very badly at a game of poker. Strip poker, which was rather unfortunate as she'd just lost another round and was quickly coming to the realization that she was almost out of articles of clothing to remove.

Remy, on the other hand, was fully clothed, with a growing collection of her wardrobe. He was lounging on his bed, idly shuffling a deck of cards as he watched her with approving eyes. Iris couldn't help but blush as she stood before him, her cheeks burning red hot as she slipped the silk camisole over her head and tossed it onto the bed for him to claim. Fortunately, it meant she wasn't going to be left standing half naked. Unfortunately, it really did just leave her in her knickers, so after the next hand, she likely would be standing half naked.

"Honestly, I can't believe I haven't won a single hand," she lamented as she sat back down, curling her legs up at the foot of the bed. Remy just smiled, and dealt another hand.

"Mais non, cher," he told her, his hand brushing up against hers as he dealt, lingering for just a moment too long. "Lady luck is in my bed tonight."

Iris nearly giggled, although she wasn't entirely sure if he'd meant that she was Lady Luck, or... what. Still, it had seemed like a compliment, and it buoyed her as she looked with disappointment at the cards she now held - a two of clubs and five of hearts. Already she knew that she'd be that much closer to being completely naked by the next hand, and from the smug look on Remy's face, he knew it too. She quickly ducked her head down, hiding her grin behind the cards in her hand, trying her best (and failing miserably) to look like a halfway decent poker player.

Oh yes, two days from now she was going to regret this very much. But for now? She was having too much fun to care.
