Today, I went and talked to my research professor about my research project and he was o.k. with most of it, which was good. Otherwise, I saw Cold Mountain, and wow, I must say that that is an exptremely well done movie, I haven't seen Jude Law in a movie in a long time and as one of the two main characters he did really well. I really loved all the characters, so I was quite happy for all movie. It didn't end as well as I expected, but that works. On a somewhat related note of movie endings, I have to say, I don't remember watching as many movies as I have of late that have ended with an ending that isn't happy and that makes you think. Now, this can either be attributed to the fact that I am choosing to watch a different set of movies than I am used to, or perhaps the fact that I am in France where movies are often more thought provoking, even American ones released here. Just a random wondering.
On other notes, I slept over with a friend last night, for the first time in a long time and it was still quite fun. I have always loved that moment when you are both in your respective beds, or side of the same bed and you are chatting in the dark and you end up chatting for another hour or more after you have already stated that you are both going to sleep. It made me quite happy last night, as it always had. I do love those conversations with people that go on for hours and you never even realize it until you start yawning, on when not at sleep over, randomly glance over and see what time it really is. Those conversations that touch on everything, that don't even necessarily discuss anything horribly important are what make me know that I have a connection with someone and that said person is someone that I want to keep talking to. Don't know where I was going with that I just had a need to say it.
