Weirdness and couple of recs
This is really weird. When they let my boss go, my desk was moved to the engineering department on the second floor. There were 8 people with desks up here, 9 if you include the owner/president. Two people were moved to the first floor last week. That leaves 6 (7) people up here.
Yesterday, I was the only person here. I'm all alone right now. I have the whole second floor to myself. I think everyone else has taken this week off.
This has left me time to go through the Yuletide fic and read.
I have two recs:
The Princess Bride: A Storybook Story written for BooksAreLove.
This picks up where the movie left off. And continues with the warped fairy tale that is The Princess Bride. The writing reminds me very much of William Goldman's from the book.
Lisa A. Barnett and Melissa Scott - Pointsmen Series: Better Hemispheres written for iambler.
This story evokes the feeling and mood of the books for me. Nico and Philip are very much themselves here.
