Silk picspam

In an otherwise snoozefest of a film, there is Callum who at least proves he's alive by actually moving during scenes and using more than one facial expression. Unlike the lead who mostly sits there like a pouty constipated lump.

Aw I kind of like Michael Pitt. He was good in The Dreamers. But yay! Picspam. Was this movie really as bad as everyone says?

I've never seen him in anything else. I think he was really miscast in this. His performance (an the whole film really, except for Alfred Molina) is very flat.

People fell asleep in the theater at TIFF. Beautiful cinematography though.

I love the glasses, but the sideburns are kind of horrifying.

Is this out on DVD already?

Yeah, the muttonchops have got to go. He's doing a Dutch accent in this. Though I can't really judge how successful he is.

Ummm, no, not yet. Lalalala. All I have is the clip which will be up tonight.

The 'chops really look fake. On the other hand, Callum in a kimono is a good thing. :)

Looking forward to seeing the clip and, one day, the movie itself.

He looks fine in the kimono.

Silk is beautifully filmed but it's lacking... not plot but a good emotional hook. All the acting is very flat and slow except for ALfred Molina. He's like a splash of color on a drab canvas.
