There you go. I didn't even realise that but I go on for thirty seconds to do something (invite people to a craft circle) and I get all the tension/early-panic attack symptoms and a desire to just get the frack out of there. So I really hope people aren't expecting me to read or have a clue about their lives if that's the only place they post.
On the other hand I'm growing to like
Tumblr and have made a placeholder blog for my
craft stuff. I don't really post there or do much more than reblog and I have 14 friends and no idea how to find more people things to watch but I like the ease of watching things scroll and it's not like I don't have the bandwidth even on my phone, wtf.
I'm well off
twitter because I feel like it's a place to announce things and I am taking a break from my public life to focus on my honours. The one thing I think about using twitter for is listing everything I watch. It might be a little annoying but I think it would be interesting to track. Sure I multi-task but we watch a lot in our house (currently watching the Lonesome Dove Films and a bunch of Walter Hill as well as random TV).
I do feed my
delicious recs through a twitter and onto here. Delicious is the best place to follow my recs though - it has all the descriptive bits too. Only way I could make it feed.
I still want to write my Here Comes Mars music blog which you can look at the pretty layout
here. I keep getting distracted and I miss my music stuff and it's just a lower priority, a thing that I'm ok with picking up and putting down.
The only thing that I'd like to blog and keep track of is my academic stuff but I think that I'm not ready to do a super public blog on it because while I'm not at a novice level, I'm still not confident enough to put all of my stuff up where anyone could find it. But I want to get into the habit of it.
And can anyone explain to me how to do fandom on dreamwidth? I'm now only skip=60 each day and that means people are doing things elsewhere, right? or just maybe in fandoms I'm not in. IDEK.
Also, Google Plus - just no interest. I've got it but I'm not even checking it. Hmmm.
So, yes, TL;DR: Social Media, ain't it grand?
