Oh, Lordy, there's not really one link. Tumblr's interface is REALLY different. But what you probably want to do is:
1. Make a Tumblr account 2. If you are on a desktop/laptop, install the browser extension "XKit Rewritten." It has a ton of usability tweaks that make Tumblr easier to deal with. 3. Search for the tag "bangel." (You can also search for "btvs" or "buffy the vampire slayer" because not everyone tags their posts the same way.) 4. If you see a post you like, you can like it. You can also reblog it. This is what gives posts more exposure; Tumblr does not have an algorithm like Twitter at shoves posts with lots of likes at you. 5. You can follow individual blogs, and you can also follow tags. 6. You can respond to posts in several ways: A. reblog and add a comment; B. reblog and add tags (a LOT of Tumblr conversations go on in the tags, which is weird, but you get the hang of it) C. if the blog owner has them turn on, you can leave a reply. Replies have a character limit, so reblogging with comments is better for long responses. 7. If you want to make a post that people will see and respond to, make sure that you tag it appropriately. While people can and do write novels in the tags, that doesn't help people find the conversation to begin with. You first post in a prospective conversation should have a few simple, appropriate tags -- "Btvs" "meta" "bangel" "xander harris" "season 2" rather than "Xander totally sucks for lying to Buffy about what Willow was doing" 8. Tags also help you find things within your own blog, so if you make a post that you think you may want to reference in the future, having a consistent set of tags helps there too. 9. All the usual ship wars and a few new ones are still simmering sullenly away. It's considered good manners, if you are posting about a character or ship you dislike, to tag it "anti Xander Harris" (or whatever) so that people who like that character/ship can filter or block those posts.
While this may sound hideously complicated, it's really not that bad! once you dive in and start using it. If I could figure it out, anyone can.
You know what miss about LJ. The conversations. Tumblr is not conversation friendly. How are you? How's life treating you? I am now retired, so hurrah!
