Title: The Life You Save Author: Scribere Est Agere Pairing: Goren/Eames Spoilers: After Purgatory Rating: M Disclaimer: These characters do not belong to me.
Thank you, as always, for your lovely, encouraging feedback. I appreciate it so much! I'm really quite depressed now that it's finished. Maybe the new season will inspire me, once again :)
It's a little like postpartum depression, isn't it?
Every single time I write a multi-chapter I get the blues afterwards and feel like I'll never write again. Eventually, I get over it, but still after creating a story and putting it out in to the world, I often feel creatively dead.
I hope you find your inspiration again when you're ready.
How are you doing otherwise? Okay I hope. I've been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
This! Exactly this! You pour so much into a story, and I enjoy writing these two SO much...and then the story ends and you're like...Now what?? Sigh. I don't write very many multi-chapter fics, and now I realize why, lol. It's too damn depressing when it's done. Meh.
I'm doing...all right, I think. Day by day is kind of my new motto. If I think about the future too much, my head (and heart) might explode. Day. By. Day. Thank you for the good wishes -- I can always use them :)
This was all so lovely, suspenseful, horrific, sad and hopeful - seriously, it had everything. I loved it :) This one's definitely going into my ~misty water-colored memories. Seriously, your writing is beautiful, you had me hanging onto every word. It was worth the wait. <3
I'm sighing wistfully, too. I'm depressed! It's finished! NOW what will I do?? I'm not cleaning my house, that's for damn sure! Anyway, thank you for reading, and leaving this wonderful review. I'm so happy you liked <3
My favorite part would have to be Eames' big block o'text where she just avalanches and buries Goren in all the sensory details of that memory. It was incredibly evocative and emotional and POW!
I also liked Possessive!Goren (always a treat), Eames' reaction to Possessive!Goren, the way they inched and hedged and worried their way to where they were (including the big long wait before even saying anything about what they'd said to each other), and how once they were together all the hedging and worrying fell by the wayside.
Oh god. ONCE AGAIN you picked out my absolute favourite part of the story, lol, and quite possibly the entire series. And, I added it right at the very end. I knew I wanted her to be able to prove to him that she wasn't all drugged up and loopy, but I didn't quite know how to show it...until THAT little inspiration came to me. So, thank you! I'm really glad you liked. Now I have to go cry in my crying room, for I am sad it's done. Bleah. I hope the new season will make me want to write more <3<3

Her description of what she remembers is absolutely stunning. And the sex is so beautifully written.
You have such an amazing way of shaping sentences...your writing is just gorgeous. I love every word.
You are amazing.
