And I have no coherent thoughts. Yet.

And I'm working on a post-ep fanfic [in my mind, so far]. And I keep watching this over and over and over again.

You're both the best. Seriously. )

I was wondering if you watched and what you thought. I liked the ep. I mean, the last scene. Like you, I have fuck-all idea of what the whole thing was actually about.

And Eames's little frowny face when Goren presses his lips to her cheek. OMG.

I kind of watched, heh. I mean, I watched that last scene A WHOLE HELLUVA LOT I TELL YA. I can't seem to stop, either.

The frowny face! Aaugh! She's like trying to be all professional and keep her shit together and he's just about to walk away and then he kisses her and she's all, Don't bawl, don't fall to pieces, and then they grab each other and cling. Did you see the clinging?

They clung.

I really should stop watching it now and go write something.

You, too?

:)

YES! The clinging! I was just like... that was a lot of clinging for two people who supposedly have no canon UST. I AM SORRY, but if D'Onofrio ever came out and said he was playing Goren as being secretly in love with Eames, I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED. At all.

Yes. I feel like I have to write fic, but I have an SVU one to get done this weekend. And then I start a new job on Monday, so I'm not sure where my head will be. But I WANT TO.

Absolutely! I think of the way he got all "high school" when he talked to Eames in the car, mentioned his mother's or brothers impression that he and Eames are a couple -- looked so uncomfortable. How he went ballistic on Frank when he said "get a room and get Eames out of your system?"

All that and more.

Oh, the clinging...the whole scene was so poignant, starting with the prolonged Goren dark-eyed stare at her, and then it all started with that arm caress -- ARM CARESS! Did you ever think you'd see it?? (And that was after the side hug they kept showing in the previews, which i was all, "did you see that?!" and that was just a little side hug -- but it was so rare that he actually touched her.)

To go on and get the teary-eyed Eames, the "you're the best...", the lip quiver, and the CLINGING, not to mention all the rest, was just such a gift, and who cares what the non-shippers think -- we've always known it was there.. *sighs happily*

It must have been so odd for them to even do that scene, after, what, how many years of not even a hand touch? And they did it so well, especially Erbe, whose little face is just so damn expressive. Gah. I could write a whole story just about her expressions.

And yes, the arm caress, too. There was a whole lotta touching going on throughout the entire ep, because, I guess, they figured they had to squeeze everything in before they got the boot. A full-liplock would have been lovely, but out of character...I suppose :D Wouldn't have heard me complaining, however.

So true! Right from the get-go in Loyalty 1, the hug at the crime scene...when has Goren ever touched her, even in a friendly hug? When she got all teary over probing her husband's case? Nadda. When she's upset about dating the creepy cross-dressing guy last season? Ditto nadda.

Seriously, they have a lot to be proud of in that last scene. Erbe's tear-filled eyes, the break in her voice, the way he looks at her -- aghhhh. And I'm especially fond of the way they continued the awkwardness after the hug, when she looks down & brings her hand to her face as he walks away and he pauses & scratches his head.

(While I wouldn't have complained either, I think if a full liplock had occurred there would have been cardiac arrests from us touch-deprived shippers all over the known LOCI world!)

So with you on the Eame/Erbe lip quiver. *sniff*

That little frowny face made me tear up. Seriously. She said it all with her face, right then and there.
