IP Logging issue

As seen all over my flist, LJ has been making "improvements" again: IP Logging and Location.

I only had IP logging turned on for anonymous commenters, but now I have it turned off altogether.

ETA: Apparently they've now turned off the new "feature" (yay), so I'm turning IP logging on anon comments back on.
