I leave in the morning to Breyerfest and it's probably the most bittersweet trip to Kentucky I've ever done.
Two friends from the hobby world that I know have died in recent months. Both were wonderful people and the thought of the loss of them has been weighing on me.
Both were wonderful people who had a life full of loved ones and so much energy, and both were lost to us much to young.
Gaylene I knew longer, she was one of the first people to really reach out to me in the model horse hobby. Her wisdom and skill was stunning, but not as much as her personality. She was a true joy to be around. Every day when she isn't on AIM is a little reminder that she is gone. Every time I packed something ... So Gaylene, Mr Wiskers is going to Kentucky, just for you. I love you and miss you.
Judy I didn't know as well, but to talk to her was to glimpse her world and the passion and joy she had. I miss you too, and continue to love and appreciate the baeuty you brought into this world, not just with your artistic skills, but with your personality.
My journal will be spamming your friends list tomorrow with voiceposts as I spend 12 or 14 hours in the car.
Love - Me!
