The stupid, it burnssss...!
Ok, say you really, really, really love a certain actor. And you decide to demonstrate that love by creating a website that mocks, offends and calls said actor a functional illiterate. Repeatedly. Because it's satire. And all in good fun. Then you involve said actor's mother and/or girlfriend in your humor (*). Because you really love the actor, you know.
And then you get all hurt and offended when a C&D letter drops onto your doormat... Because it was all just a bit of harmless fuuuuun....!
I have no words.
Though I generally don't like to link to fandom_wank, this post does have the most extensive collection of links for those wanting to know more.
(*) Not entirely sure how true this is. Most of what I can find is hearsay to begin with. But fandom_wank contains a couple of links to comments left in other journals by the site's owner, which certainly do nothing to make me believe the hearsay has not a smidgen of truth in it.
