Organizing icons

For my new blog (unlimited icons, yay!), I’m trying to reorganize my current icons and devise a system that’ll help me file away future ones as well. Not to mention making it easy for me to find them again when I want to use them…
I’m currently debating two systems and can’t make up my mind.
- Organize the icons by… mood… for lack of a better word. So, WTF? type icons, Happy icons, neutral icons, etc.
- Organize the icons by subject. So, Supernatural, cats, Boromir…
Both have pros and cons.
What system (if any) are you using?
