My dad has a really old version of this book and I read it a long time ago, but the quote was nonsense to me then.
I've lost all my English analytical skills, I suppose. I read it yesterday in a book with this explanation: "Is the sweetness of life never right now? You can always remember and hope; but sometimes you've got to spread it on today. Thick."
I've always thought if I ever got a tattoo it would be words. And those words would probably be it. I need to remember to stay in the moment.
