Paris agrees to single combat with Menelaus to end the war. The winner will take Helen. The armies swear a truce. Helen watches from the battlements. Paris and Menelaus fight, but Aphrodite snatches Paris away before he can be killed. The Greeks think Menelaus has won, and demand Helen's return.
