Too much information / the feeling of logic.

I posted last summer about popcorn thoughts, which allow a lot of things to be going on at the same time, and I have to say that they're a fairly normal state for me in a class. But today I got a logic headache, from information-related brainfreeze ( Read more... )

*hugs* I'm not sure I understand fully, but I know about the fuzzy blob in the brain part-for very different reasons. But it’s still all to do with sensory overload which this sounds similar to. So maybe a lie down in a dark quiet room might help when that happens.

I ended up poking Minecraft for a while, that got rid of it. Now I'm off to the gym. :)

Minecraft helped, so did spamming the hell out of the excercize bike. I think I'm just fed up to the teeth with math majors. :) There are way too many patterns in that class, how am I supposed to concentrate on just one? Though, nothing brings out my obsessive tendencies like a half-finished decryption.

Part of my problem with my partner though is just that he looks for confirmation before he tries something and I like to solve puzzles myself. The other bad thing is, he doesn't listen, that or he's misinterpreting everything when I try to tell him what we're doing wrong. I get along with most of the rest of the class, though, so I'm just hoping that when we switch partners again on Monday it will be someone else's turn to deal with him ( ... )

Yeah, most of the people I meet are either firmly right-brained or very firmly left-brained. This leads to such wonderful conversations as today's (upon reading something my friend had lying around the room,) "If a dude is skinny enough that you can see his ribs, how the heck could he be described as androgynous? You can tell a person's gender from their skeleton ( ... )

Group work is still the bane of my existence. I mean, it's fine if the whole group has clearly defined things to do, I get through it, but I forever find myself waiting for people and most of the time I just give up, do it on my own, and then coach them. Then there's the ever-present pitfall of working with friends: somebody always relies on somebody else to carry them through the project ( ... )
