wow, i feel so worn out...
last friday was my school's Acoustic Night. At first me and the band were kinda pissed because Suicide Squirrel was completely left out of all the flyers. But i asked the lady, and she said thats because there was a bunch of suicides in my school the past couple of years, and people might get offended. So we shutup after that. We went second this time, which is like "holy crap, they dont think we are the worst people there now!" turns out, the dude that went before us was freekin great. well, i liked him alot. We went up, and the dude from Fire It Up came up and sang our cover of Incubus - Drive with us!! which was freekin awsome. Now we can say that we played a song with a famous guy! We finished our set and sat back down. to our amazment, the band that came up after us was pretty boring. Same chords over and over, got annoying. we couldnt stay for any more preformances, chris's dad was waiting the entire time outside in the van waiting for us. So we browsed around, sold a bunch of stickers ($10, wohoo!) and left
yesterday was Evee's birthday party in New York. We invited Jesse's band to play with us. after the 20th we made this pact where every show they play, we play and vice versa. So we got a spot to play at Chris's friend's birthdayparty, so we brough SAFH too. I thought jesse would be late...like he is usualy, so i told him to come at 5:30 when he needed to be there at 6. So ofcoarse, Jesse shows up at 5 thinking hed impress me by being there early. Im flattered, but damnit jesse, lol. We even got a little late ourselves, traffic and got lost....so we ended up arriving at around 7:00. The birthday girl didnt even show up yet. So we got there and had enough time to soundcheck and everything. When she got there, we started. After half of our mini set before SAFH got on, they told us that they only booked the place till 9. So we let SAFH get on and play a bunch of their songs. Then we went back on and played the songs she wanted us to play (Dance Dance, we actually did that song pretty good for learning it the same day). After that SAFH played more songs and we finished. We got paid $150, so we gave $50 to SAFH, since they already have all their equipment and we are still trying to save up for them. We drove back and i left out alot of details, but ohwell
i feel so siiiiiick
