(no subject)
Is it overly selfish of me to not attend someone's birthday party purely because they have the same birthday as me? I mean really - we have pretty much the same set of friends, and I'm expected to attend a party to celebrate his remarkable achievement which just so happened to occur 2 years to the day before I did the same goddamn thing. I'll be 25, he'll be 27 - clearly I take precedent. =)
Ugh.
I've never actually met someone who had the same birthday as me. I've also never really expected much for my birthday (expensive gifts from parents notwithstanding) - just a simple 'happy birthday' and perhaps dinner with some friends. Soo I guess having someone steal my thunder kind of got to me. I think everyone deserves one day a year that's all about them, no sharing allowed. God save the poor saps that were born on holidays, the anniversaries of national tragedies and within a month of Christmas.
