dude, this actually looks like me
which is why i posted it.
thats scruffily faced screenmcname right there. so i guess this means i'm posting in livejournal again, after a prolonged and savored by all absence. now, the great thing is, i've been having what i can only assume is a ball with my life lately, as quite bit has changed since i last marked my territory here on livejournal. for starters, i'm in what is amazingly, my first official play in YEARS, and i've been enjoying it immensely. it is an oakland university theatre department of The Laramie Project, a non-fiction piece (yeah, a PIECE, as in a piece of art, as in, i'm a pompous ass, but i digress) dealing with violence prejudice, and fear in the heartland of america, and is, i find quite a beautiful work. i've got a fairly small role, but nonetheless, i'm proud to be a part of it, and frankly its probably all i can handle at this point anyway, what with school and all. so yeah, there's that, and then there' post-production on WAPG a.k.a dissappearing over night, a film justin (mr. west coast king himself) and i have worked on for over a year now, and which is really coming together nicely, and is very exciting**. other than that, i'm clearing up the rumors once and for all by stating here and now that yes, i am back at oakland for the fall, and that yes, i am hoping and planning for this to be my final semester before hitting the road.
oh, and a last, uncharacteristically sentimental note, i'm thrilled to death with the freedom i've been allowed in this life, as really, any who would ever read this probably should be. i urge you all to read as much as you can from as wide and VARIED a number of sources as possible, and then VOTE this november, for the leader who will best suit the world's most prominent nation. [step off soapbox and exit st. left.]
**any and all who felt left out by not being included in the film, i assure you, it is by all means NOT a reflection on your own considerable talents, but in fact solely due to space and time constraints, and mostly the fact that 95% of the filming took place with only me and justin. so yeah, really really, no hard feelings, and good to know there is interest out there for this stuff!
