Still, though... I'm miffed about the gameplay/story segregation going on there with three people fighting two guards, one guy running away, and several other people doing nothing to stop him. Could there not at least have been a few more Dias Knights on-screen providing an obstacle?
As for Palomides, I need to recap the early installments sometime, as I barely remember him at all...

Re: lazy backup: Yeah, it bothers me too. I'm generally willing to forgive that particular break from realism because then the game wouldn't be as fun, but it starts to irk me a lot more in circumstances like this where it results in obvious plot holes.
