The second show was what I would have expected a Built to Spill concert to sound like. The set list was way more powerful than last night. They took less time between songs. No one broke a guitar string. The third guitarist, whose name I don't know (but he has a big beard and smokes), took a break during the encore

did they play "carry the zero"? that was the song that was stuck in my head last night and inspired me to loiter around the fillmore in hopes of scoring a ticket.

They did, but I don't remember which night they played it. The sets were pretty different both nights.

I was sad you couldn't get in, because that night they really got into the music. You would have enjoyed it.
