hey sorry if this is the wrong place to comment on this...

i'm in your icon community @ i just wanted to share that x_ris_x is posting icons she took from __heiressicons and not saying they deserve credit when their comm. specifically says to do so.

she was just recently banned from another comm. i'm in for that reason because she knew she couldn't post w/o crediting them and did it anyways, and apparently she's banned from a few comm's for the same reason.

i didn't know if you wanted to do anything about it or not but i thought i'd let you know.

there's never a wrong place to write to me about my community, i'm always here to help.

so let's see, i guess i just have a couple questions for you then.

- are you a mod of the community?
- are the icons made by memebers of that community and shared with that community?
- if so do the creators ask for credit?
- do you know what the icons are specificly?

at icon_thieves_ we are usually okay with taking down any icons by request but we need to have all the information first and we need to listen to both side of every story.

alrighty, we take down icons if there is a complaint by someone asking us to. i'm kind of assuming that's what this is in a way.

the person just needs to prove that they made it. they need to show that it's their own work, that it's not just some icon being passed around.

that way we don't get people saying "she has the same icon as me. make her take it down!! she took it off my user info page! no fair!"

we just pay attention to original art work.

so as long as you can show us that the icons were made for that community and that they aren't just icons floating around then we should be good to go.

(and obviously you'll have to point out the exact ones that you want taken down)

the best i can do is take screen caps from that community. all the icons they post are the same styles so i would assume they're all made by those makers, and not just icons floating around :)

i have screencaps of the posts that the icons x_ris_x posted are in from the heiressicons community as well as screencaps of where they say they require credit and all that jazz.
