Major turning point
Following a series of meetings with professors, advisors, and the departmental head, I have decided to submit my application before next April as a Ph.D. candidate at UBC's French, Hispanic, and Italian studies beginning fall 2009.
I've made considerable progress with my deferred schoolwork as of late, and everything is on track. The classes are all set for next year -- two with Chantal -- including translation and history of the french vocabulary, possibly a theatre or lit course, and a civ course I had planned to take this year. It's as if all has been tailor made for me (to a certain extent, some of the classes were).
Also, my relationship with Chris is going strong (week 6 now) and I'm really happy with him. yay :D
