Theme of Dreams

Since 2 of my friends are posting about dreams, I would like to share that the Sandman visited me with some real vivid ones last night.

I had fallen asleep on the couch around 8:30 to awaken at 11:00, and then had trouble getting to sleep before 4.  When I did get to sleep, I dreamt that I was having trouble falling asleep because odd noises kept distracting me.  I got out of bed thinking I would catch my cat knocking stuff off the counter and instead discovered a young mother and her children in my kitchen.  They ran when they saw me though I tried to reassure them I they didn't have to leave, but I was too tired to yell after them.  I noticed signs of other squatters who had left in a hurry, heard their whispers, saw their shadows as they stealthily moved around my house and yard, but I was moving in slow motion with fatigue. I stumbled to bed but began to shake in fear at all the people trying to get into my house so  I got up & looked out the window at the moon.  It was unmistakebly RED...always a sign of the coming apocolypse in my dreams.  I had the familiar dread that God hated me and that I would soon be going to hell.  I woke up confused because I thought I had been awake.

I went back to sleep and dreamt I was a Superhero of comic book proportions, though I don't know what powers I had.  A teenaged boy appeared as my nemesis: he must have been a villian because he kept trying to hurt my family. I successfully thwarted him several times-I remember once he tried to climb onto a moving bus and I pushed him into the street, then he put a ladder against my house intent on climbing through my second floor window, so I pushed the ladder away from the house and it landed on his head.  Then he sued me.  I was sure he was going to win too, because he suffered many physical injuries when I was trying to stop him.  I figured it was just my luck that I would lose everything to a villian.

Then I woke up.
