Polish President Lech Kaczynski 'in plane crash'
A plane carrying Polish President Lech Kaczynski has crashed near a Russian airport, officials say.
Russian media reported that 87 people were killed in the crash near Smolensk, and a regional governor was quoted as saying there were no survivors.
Polish officials said Mr Kaczynski was on board along with his wife Maria and several senior government figures.
They were in Russia to mark the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre, when Soviets killed thousands of Poles.

As of an hour we don't have a president, a vice-minister, a candidate for president election, and 40 other prominent political figures including the head of army, the president of national bank and so on... I truly can't believe it. I was reading Master and Margerity when my brother called and asked: "Have you heard the news?""No, what happened?" and he answered in that bleak tone "The president is probably dead." I thought he was joking or something, but he said "Go and turn on chanel 6." I said "Okay." and went. My mum was watching the news and we sat there in stunned silence. [I asked her why no one told me and she answer that I could obviously hear the radio from my room. I don't listen to the radio when I watch TV. I try to tune it out.]
