I CAN HAZ JAWB!?
I just got a call from the folks who put me in for the Port of Seattle sysadmin gig a couple weeks ago. No start date yet, but probably tomorrow. Hours are odd, but I can work with it. It's a grave-shift: 9:30pm - 6:30am. $25/hr.
The odd thing about this is, I'd already heard back from them once, and they'd declined on me saying something like "we're sure he could probably do the job, but we're going to pass on him because we think we have the perfect fit" or some such nonsense. So I hear from the recruiting company that they called back saying something like "we really wish we had extended the position to this guy."
GLEE!
...and when I got that call, I was in the middle of typing up another rant-post asking if there was something about me that makes me "just slightly unemployable."
