Wow!
State solo and ensemble was today. I had to wake up at 8:00. -Thumbs down-. I really did stumble out of bed today unaware what was going on with the vague thought that I had to get into my orchestra uniform. It would have been rather comical to watch me I'm sure. I even had time to do my hair. Megan came to get me and we stopped for gas and made it out there no problem. Both her and I forgot to write down what practice room we were in so we followed Kenny (scary) but it turned out he didn't know where he was going and so we found Anthony. Went up three flights of stairs with a cello on my back and found the practice room. It was so warm in there. x_x. Practiced once together and then just waited until we had to perform. Palled around with Vince and Chris and proceeded to feel inferior because of these amazing musicians that were also in the same practice room.
Performance time. It went well, but the judge told the cello section (I.E. Me and Angelica) to play with more passion. Okay, since when don't I have passion about my playing? -sticks tongue out- Well Mr. Judge I didn't want to be too loud so there. Other than that all his comments to us were positive. Went to wait in the hall, half the group disappeared, the judge's assistant came out and told us she had good news.
WE GOT A ONE!!! I was excited, especially since the other group went right before us and got a II. Molly told me I did a good job on the sectional solo. It made me happy since it was terrible last time.
Megan and I got lost on the way home. It was most amusing.
Went out to lunch after.
Now I'm home.
