Night Elf Hatred
Lately, I have been working on getting my level 71 paladin all the way up to 77 in about 10 days. I was really happy with my progress, but a little bored, so I decided to roll an alt. After some experimenting, I now have a Night Elf rogue.
It was weird. I looked up names for dwarves, found spades. Looked up names for gnomes? Tons. Names for Night Elves? Delete, Fuckisuck, Oneofamillion. People HATE Night Elves. A lot of people particularly noted Urbandictionary's fantastic definition, which is basically;
"A race played by creepy middled-aged men, undersexed teenage boys, or ugly girl who want boys to think they are pretty."
I picked Night Elf because out of the four races that can be rogues; human, dwarf, gnome, and NE, they seem to be the most muscular and, well, sneaky.
It's kind of sad that anyone who plays Night Elf will actually be on the receiving end of ingame racism.
