it's me again
People must really think I've dropped off of the face of the LiveJournal earth. I read everyone else's entries rather frequently, I check my friends list practically everyday. (sad, the life of a freelancer)
I missed Dr. Sketchy's yet again. I really really really wanted to go, I'm just so behind on work right now that I couldn't pull myself away. Deadlines, deadlines, deadlines!
It's been especially hard these past few weeks because I've been working in-house at F.A. Davis, alongside of a ton of freelance work they had already assigned me to do. I'll be working there at least 3 days a week until Christmas, but I really hope I'll be able to go to October's Dr. Sketchy's aaaaannddd see Nik and Cindy's fantabulous gallery show.
In other non work-related news, it's almost Autumn, and all I can seem to think of is the fast approaching Halloween festivities which will ensue. No plans yet... but it's still early.
I've been reading Bram Stoker's Dracula, and am almost through it, so I'm really getting into the whole vampire victim turned vampire idea for a costume. Bite-marks and all. I've never seen any Dracula movies, but maybe I'll rent one when I'm finished the book. I always like reading the books before seeing the movies, so I can formulate my own opinions and images in my head. That way I don't have to solely rely on those presented in film-form.
I'm pretty sure the Fleisher free painting and drawing workshops are starting up again soon, if they haven't already. I'm gonna try and squeeze that in somewhere, since I really haven't done any traditional work in a while. It's nice to switch it up, since I'm plopped at a computer, either in my house or downtown, doing digital doodlings til my eyes hurt. Brains and bar graphs and molecules, oh my!
So that's all the news I can think of at the moment.
