Leaving Eden chapter 3

Put up the third chapter of Leaving Eden, which has the horrible title of The Angel. This piece makes me horribly ashamed - it's all cutoff and abrupt and hey, how come Chaos is talking, and why are there so many parentheses towards the end? x_x That's what I get for attempting to write angst when I'm too angsty myself to do characterization. Bah. I've finished posting the thing, at least, which is a very odd sort of relief. ^^ I'm happy that people liked the two other chapters, anyway. On another note, though, this story isn't over - I have two pages of very overdone Yuffie-and-Vincent-interaction, an idea based on a line from this last chapter: it wasn’t when she followed him into the phone shop after the Geostigma epidemic was dealt with.

I thought, how come no one ever wrote about Vincent finding the Phone Shop?

Then I got the notion to do so myself, only Phone Shop makes a horrendous title, and a story like that would really do better as fluff than angst. We'll see about that. The wording is all over the place and way unoriginal.

Also, possible sequel? After I've played the English DoC, though. I don't want gaping plotholes all over the place. (And I suck at planning fics, so there.)

After my writerly whining in the last entry, I actually got something done: Like Paper for Wings, second person Yuffie centering on her mother (for major editing, because I haven't done that sort of voice since...ever?). I'm not sure how I see her past with her mom, or what kind of relationship they had, or how long it's been, or even the lady's name, but I wanted to write that sort of thing. I might make something less vague, with more Godo, eventually (got a title, The Color of Common Koi).

I'm writing too much FFVII. Ungh, ungh, ungh. I watched Pirates of the Caribbean again awhile ago, though, and fic for that is starting to look quite pretty, what with a sequel coming up. Also, my friend lent me the first book of Pierce's the Immortals Quartet, and can I just say that Daine and Numair's 'first meeting' was hilarious. For some reason, Numair comes off as so Neal-ish to me. Except, of course, I always imagine his as Clow Reed with eyebags. *readshungrily*

Too much schoolwork. I'm off to my lab paper again.

(end of babble)

yuffentine, yuffie, babble, fic, ffvii
