February always messes up my finances, especially since we're coming out of the slow time at work. Then there's the issue of having been sick and missing too much work due to the sinus infection that lasted a month. I have no idea about setting up a Go Fund Me page, but I'm happy to kick in. Let me know when you do get it set up - or send me your Paypal info, if you have that. (I'm old fashioned and that's the only money sharing app I'm signed up with.)

I know how to set up the account. I just have a horrible time writing something to explain why I need money. It's one thing to write it here, but I choke when I need to put on a site like that. It's not just rent. I'm afraid of running out of cat food, kitty litter, and my medications. It's one thing to tell friends, but asking publicly is different. I can write fiction, but I just can't write this effectively.

Well, crap! It takes 2 to 5 days to get funds via Go Fund Me. That won't be any help. Maybe we could spread the word among friends. I can pay people back if they want on the 4th or 5th. I just don't know enough people willing to help out, especially if they don't know me that well.

I get it. Until I got some settlement money from my old job, I had to borrow money from my mom a couple of times when the mortgage payment due date and my bi-weekly paycheck didn't line up.

Update: It seems my math was off a little or something but in a good way. The amount you sent to me may be all I need to not bounce the rent payment with a little extra. I will still need to cover my renters insurance, but it's less than $40. I think I have some friends who can spot me that amount.

Thanks again! At least I'm not as bad off as I originally thought. Plus, a friend at work told me last night that she bought a new car. She's giving me her old one. It's got 300,000 miles on it, but it's in good shape. Maybe things are looking up.

Hey. I feel awful about this. I didn't realize how long it has been since you loaned me money. I am so sorry I haven't paid you back yet. I was saving up to pay you back, and then the tornadoes hit. I used that money to buy supplies when I didn't have clean water last week. We just started the busy season at work, and I will have overtime on my next paycheck. I can pay you back then.
