Cordelia and Fred stared intently at the computer screen. Occasionally, they would tilt their heads to the side or lean closer to the screen.

“Where did you get these pictures?” Fred asked, breaking the silence.

“I bought a digital camera and took them.”

“He let you take those pictures?”

“No, silly,” Cordelia replied. “I snuck up on him and took them when he was training.”

“That explains the sword,” Fred remarked. “What are you going to do with the pictures?”

“I made a website for Angel Investigations. I’m going to put pictures of all of us on it with a little bit about what we do. It’ll be good for business. We’ll have more paying customers in no time.”

“You’re planning on taking pictures of all of us?”

“Yep. Wes, Gunn, Lorne, you, me. Okay, maybe not Lorne, but definitely you, me, Gunn, and Wes.”

Fred seemed a little nervous about the whole idea. “I don’t know if I want my picture on the website. Maybe you should just put up pictures of the guys. Ya know, with their muscles showing how strong they are. That would bring in customers.”

“You think so?” Cordelia asked.

“Oh yeah.” Fred said dreamily as she stared at the pictures of Angel on the screen.

It took some convincing, but Wesley and Gunn agreed to have their photos taken for the website. Soon the website was up, and Cordelia eagerly waited for new customers to come pouring in.

And they did. The very next day.

Cordelia entered the Hyperion and stopped in her tracks at the sight before her. The lobby was full of people, women mostly, but a few were men. She elbowed her way through the crowd. She received nasty looks from some of them and rude comments from others. When the desk was in site, she saw Fred talking to an angry woman.

“You’re lying,” the woman accused.

“What’s going on here?” Cordelia asked.

“All these people are here to see Angel, but they won’t tell me what they need.”

“What we need is Angel,” a woman to the left told them.

“Where is he?” a man asked.

“We need his help,” a young woman asked.

“Help with what?” Cordelia muttered under her breath.

“Excuse me?” the first woman asked.

“Oh nothing.” Cordelia whispered something to Fred, who ran upstairs. A few people tried to follow her. “Don’t even,” Cordelia warned. The look on her face stopped them more than her words.

Cordelia turned her attention back to the massive crowd of people. “Now. You have to go through me to get to Angel. If any of you don’t like that, you can leave now.” A few people did leave, giving her an angry glare as they did. “Okay. I will talk to the rest of you one at a time, and if I see any fighting, you won’t get to see Angel at all.”

“You can’t be serious?” Gunn asked.

“Cordelia’s down there right now, and she had that look on her face. Ya know, that determined look.”

“Uh oh,” Gunn said. “That’s never good.”

“So, why are they all showing up today?” Angel asked.

“Cordelia put up a website yesterday to try to get paying customers. She thought putting pictures of you, Wesley, and Charles on it would help.”

“But there all here to see Angel?” Gunn asked. Fred nodded. “Why him? Why not Wes and me?”

“Angel’s pictures were a little different from yours. I guess people liked what they saw.”

“Where did she find pictures of me?” Angel asked.

“She took them when you were training a few days ago.”

Gunn’s mind caught up with what she said earlier. “Wait a minute. People? You said people, not women. You mean there are men down there wanting to see Angel?”

Fred nodded.

“What was she thinking?” Angel muttered.
