I woke up at six thirty am today. SIX THIRTY AM, PEOPLE! ME!! What's happening to the world? Well, ehehe, actually, it wasn't that surprising. I didn't sleep in two days, so I decided to call it in early last night when I fell asleep five minutes after I opened Windows... Interesting day, yesterday. I was exhausted, but I had much fun.
It was the day of the RO (Ragnarok Online) Fair yesterday. Magami has reminded me about the date a million times before. I left the house at about twelve (not after I finished recording my mixed Tenipuri tape, though, ufufufu!) and went to the mall to get this month's cellphone credits. MY luck must've gone bonkered again!! The lady who tended the shop told me that my account had been suspended! A, shimattaa!!I didn't realize I was that late! Aaaaargh, and it was such an awful timing too. I sort of needed to call Magami and the other girls when I get to the Fair... ;__;
I drove all the way to TA, seething with self loathing. Took the highway, which worked wonder to channel my anger. Arrived at TA in less than 10 minutes ^^;;;. It turned out that Magami had arrived already. I went to meet her and helped her get changed in the public toilet. She was entering the cosplay contest. Hers was the female Crusader costume, which looked pretty awesome. It had better be, since she spent a full month to make it and more than a million rupiahs (o_0!!!). About ten minutes after my arrival,
Akuma2x1 showed up. She also helped us getting Magami into her costume. When I said 'help', I meant we stood around and held random parts of the costume while looking at each other in confusion *LOL*. Magami sure overdid herself this time! There were layers (and I meant LAYERS!) of armors made of synthetic foam, and clothes, and more armors. The shoulder piece was actually quite stunning. Rizki and Nobita, our friends in the anime club in our uni, helped paint some nice color shading on the shoulder piece and other small parts. So the costume turned out really great!
There weren't as many contestants, though, if compared with last year. But there were some interesting ones. I especially like those people who cosplayed as Poring and Angelring! So cuuuuuute! So huge, too... o_0; And that Knight guy who made his costume to look as if he was riding a Peco Peco (which actually looked more like Chocobo *sweatdrops*). But my favorite was that Monk guy. He was the first contestant. While his costume was not really impressive, he was cuuute! He was the only Monk who didn't wear anything under his outer coat and tight, black jeans, which left some part of his bare torso accessible for any horny eyes to ravish. When I said any horny eyes, I meant my eyes *smirks*.
We went for a late lunch at HokaBen after Magami's turn on the stage was over, along with
shiroki_kun,
fairiesgonenuts,
fir3cracker,
tonomura_jiro,
super_poof and her sister. It was hard trying to eat properly with these girls. Mostly because we ended up fangirling more than eating *laughs*. There was some talk about joining the cosplay contest in that Binus' Bon Odori event next month. The girls decided to team-cosplay as the Hyoutei boys, much to my disappointment...
Me: " Why? Why Hyoutei? Why not Rikkai!? I want to be Yagyuu! Or Bunta!"
Shiroki_kun: "We want to wear Hyoutei's school uniform! It's soo cool!! And besides, I want to be Shishido!"
Fir3cracker: "And I want to be Atobe!!"
Fairiesgonenuts: "Who can I be? Don't tell me, Gakuto!? I can't be him! I'm not a human pretzel!!"
Akuma2x1: *looks lost* (she's not a tenipuri fan)
Me: .... *thinks Hyoutei is overrated*
Me: "But Rikkai is stronger...
Others: "Hyoutei is much more popular!!"
Fairiesgonenuts: "Hmm, maybe I can be Jirou..."
Me: "....I don't know who I want to be in Hyoutei."
Fir3cracker: "We still haven't got anyone to be Kabaji..."
Me: "A! IYA DAAA!!"
Akuma2x1: *still looks lost*
I ended up persuading shiroki_kun to be Ohtori, so that I can be Shishido. I don't know if it worked. She seemed very intent of being Shishido. Of course, knowing that he is her favorite character, none of us were surprised. I obviously can't be Ohtori since I have long hair (I can be the long-haired Shishido, though! Ufufufu...) or Jirou since I don't like him or Kabaji since I think it's insulting for me *LOL*. Forgive me, Kabaji-kun, I'm sure you're a very nice and smart person, but I refuse to cosplay as a fifteen year old who look like a 45 year old abang-abang!! And besides, Atobe!Fir3cracker said something about needing someone to carry her racket bags... I REFUSE, I TELLS YA!!! *sizzles sizzles*
This conversation continued on the drive home (I dropped
tonomuro_jiro and
shiroki_kun at Sudirman). I was glad I taped that Tenipuri cassette in the morning! It served as the perfect background music for this conversation *sparkles sparkles* Cosplay wise, I decided to go along with their Hyoutei idea (though not without some grumpy protests). Team-cosplaying sounds fun anyway. Among the many things we talked about, these are some that I could remember. We:
- Talked about buying the fabrics for the uniform
- Argued which color the Hyoutei uniform tie is ("It's red!" "No, it's brownish red!" "Isn't it reddish brown!?" "It's RED!!" *sighs*)
- Counted the tailoring cost.
- Wondered who can be Sakaki...
- Thought that whoever cosplays as Oshitari must speak in Kansai-ben (or at least, with the Tegal accent... *dies laughing*)
- Thought that whoever cosplays as Hiyoshi must learn how to do the Gekokujou pose properly. Then we talked about how that Gekokujou pose is the bastard child of Saint Seiya's Hyouga's Diamond Dust pose...
- Practiced doing Sakaki's "Itte Yoshi" pose. It was decided that it's the tackiest sissy thing to ever exist in the world. But then again, so is Sakaki XDDD.
- Considered that we need at least three Hyoutei supporters who will follow us around while shouting "Hyoutei! Atobe! Hyoutei! Atobe!" XDDD
- And wondered if
chibishun,
akuma2x1, and her Juned would want these positions...
- Thought maybe we can trick
akuma2x1 into becoming Kabaji, since she has short hair to begin with and doesn't really know how Kabaji is like *smiles sweetly*.
I also managed to persuade
shiroki_kun into helping me with a new project I'm working on. Ufufufufu. I'm so happy about it! So yesterday counts as a success!
