well, passion of the christ sucked. I have to say, Mel Gibson was in way over his head when he tried to direct this, because it was poorly done. Gibson relies too heavily on the shock value of over the top violence, and many many slow motion shots of people looking up at the sky. The acting is sub-par, with Jim Cavezial (who, as his initials are J.C. belives he really is Jesus Christ). Gibson, a christ fanatic himself should simply admit that he used the ultra-violence to lure in non-fanatcis, and really does hate the jews. Also, the movie is way over the top in many other areas, and frankly, Gibson does an awful job at making you care about jesus...yeah, he gets beaten, pretty bad too...but who really cares? I sure didnt. Not to mention that Gibson foolishy assumes that everyone watching this movie already knows the story of christ, so it jumps right in without any sort of lead in. Honestly, I do not know why this film did as well as it did, because, its not good by any means, its not powerful, it didnt make me cry, i wasnt silent and morose afterwards either. oh well...the movie sucked...the end.
