I totalled my car :(
I was on my way to drop Haiden off at his babysitters and then go to work. I should have called work and just said I would be late, that way the roads were a little better (it snowed the night before)
But anyhow, I saw the guy infront of me brake because he was about to go around a curve, so in return I hit mine, and I'm guessing I hit them to hard.
I hit a patch of ice and my car swerved into the next lane and nearly collided with an oncoming car. I saw him and over corrected myself to try and get back into my lane, did a 360, went through some small fence, and my side of the car slammed into either the tree or a very large tree stump right next to it. I'm not sure. I think they said it ended up being the tree stump. You wouldnt believe how much damage a damn stump could do to your car. But I saw it on my way home, and it definately wasn't a friendly lookin stump anyway.
I couldn't breathe at first, and hardly move. I think that was just because of panic though. I was actually able to stumble my way out of the car almost screaming because my back hurt and went to get Haiden out from the back but I couldnt get the door open (all the doors jammed up except for mine) The guy that I nearly slammed into turned around and came back, he was able to get the window down enough to pull Haiden's carseat out. He was screaming soooo loud and I was balling cause all I could think was "Oh my god he's hurt. He's gonna die. Oh my god"
Ambulance came and rushed Haiden and I to the hospitol. They had me tied down to one of those ...fuck... gurney things? I dont know what it's called and Im sure I spelled it wrong anyway. And put a neck brace on me and taped me down. VERY uncomfortable, let me tell ya.
We got to the hospitol. Haiden is fine. No scratches no bruises nothing. By the time we got to the hospitol he had stoped screaming and was flirting with all the nurses, smiling at them non stop. lol. Luckily all the impact was on my side so he was fine. I on the other hand hurt like FUCK! And I didnt really realize any of it until they told me Haiden was okay, so I stopped worrying and then it just kinda hit me. I look fine on the outside, minus a few scratches from my neck and sholder from the seat belt. But they did a cat scan and i've got bruises allllll up and down my back on the inside. From my shoulder down to my ass. lol. Only on the left side. I feel like every bone in my back, from the left of my spine is crushed into tiny pieces. They say tomorrow will be the worst. Pain wise. So they gave me percasets and I'm good to go. Til they wear off and I'm screamin again. lol
I can hardly move at all. It takes me forever to get out of my bed and do anything. It sucks.
Im SO thankful Haiden and I are both okay. But I'm really upset that I no longer have a car (its totalled.) So... unfortunately won't be seeing much of you guys for a while. No clue how I'm gonna get to work when I'm allowed to go back.
And if it weren't for me wearing my seatbelt, things would have been a lot worse. I'd still probably be in the hospitol right now. So, always buckle up guys!
