Um, you know those moments when you see a fic's updated and just drop everything so you can read it? I had one when I saw Part 5 posted. XD ( ... )

Your gushing makes me incredibly happy on a level I can't convey; I was reading about the life of Poe earlier (a much superior writer who went through the terror of publishing what nobody much cared to read) and it was slightly perturbing. So I did a dance when I read your review and was touched. Thank you very much :)

world building. The level of detail you've woven into the story is just so beautifully textured and complex.

I'm glad it's coming across! When I write, I have no idea if I'm conveying the mental picture. Sometimes I'll come back to a scene after moving on and I'll say, "That's not what I meant!" XD

Rinzler/Clu relationship just seems like a fucked up version of Kevin/AlanOh yes--and more of that on the way ( ... )

Aww :D I'm happy my squee made you squee too then! LOL

Honestly I do really appreciate the level of detail you put into creating your post-apocalyptic Grid because I understand how much effort is involved with trying to recreate that sense of place (and also, I'm very jealous!).

The next bit is a look at how Tronzler got to where he is. I'm debating whether to post as a new part, an interlude, or as an addendum to Part 5.I think an interlude sounds like a brilliant idea. And I know I've been saying this for a while, but I really can't wait to see what the full backstory with Tron is. I think the fact that he still hasn't shown Alan his face is so telling, and his possessiveness of Kevin is heartbreaking as well. So yup, wondering how things got to be so twisted and also what it says about Alan's own osyche since Tron's basically a part of him as well ( ... )

I'm glad you think there's something to be jealous of, because I'm oblivious! Not even joking. I'm sure you've done the thing where you go back and read something you wrote years ago... and say wtf. I never quite forget that I exist in dense cloud of unknowing without feedback.

The other thing I'm playing with is how to feed the reader the suggestion of the place, without going overboard and killing the reader's creative input. Readers seem to like being able to project their own imaginations into things... they just need a stable platform. Or something. I don't know.

I think an interlude sounds like a brilliant idea.

Then an interlude it will be! <3 <3 <3

I really can't wait to see what the full backstory with Tron is. Okay, truth time: this part was supposed to have the Tron story. But the muse said ( ... )

I think the way you're going about it is just fine. FWIW stories where everything is described in ridiculously high detail put me off reading quite quickly because there's nothing worse than not being able to follow the action because you get too caught up with minor details. So yeah. Less = more :)

Some content will be tied up in why programs on Grid look like their users. The rest is... not saying!!!! XD

Ok, ok. This? This is just killing me!! *flails* Oh, man. Now I hope Tron and Alan do manage to reconcile at some point. Tronzler needs love!

The Grid Lube! For when the real world is not real enough! :P
