Belated Happy New Year!!
I am back from Texas! Yay! I was so tired of being gone, it was a very busy trip, very crazy. It was great to see my brother graduate BMT (Basic Military Training for the Air Force) and spend time with him. He seemed to have matured a lot the last several weeks. He was much easier to relate to and talk with. I enjoyed my time with him, more than I have in many years now. So I am excited to finally be able to talk to him again. The last few years he has been in that crazy self-destructive fuck-the-world mentality that most teenage boys go through. But I think that he seems more adult and human now.
I went out dancing on New Years Eve and had drinks with friends and family. It was really nice. I got to spend a lot of time with my niece and nephew as well and my other Brother and his wife. It was nice to have the whole family together for a while, even though it will be the last time for a long time since one brother just left for Iraq and the other will finish Tech school then head to Iraq as well. But all in all it was a good trip. The only bad part was listening to my mother's mom (affectionately called gramie) gripe the entire trip about how terrible the weather was and how disapointing we all are to her. So I was sufficiently sick of her by day 2 and we were there for 9 days. Yea that was fun. But she left and went home, now I won't have to see her for longer than a couple of hours. Thank god. Well I am glad to be back and want to wish everyone a belated Happy New Year!!
