Charlie found the brightest star, whispered fervently. Wishes almost never came true, but you never knew.
"What did you wish for?"
"I can’t tell. It won’t come true."
"Dads don’t count for that rule."
"Like you’re some kind of wish expert."
"I am - ask Danny."
"Fine. I wished that you lived in Canada."
"Why?"
"Because then you could marry Danny. It isn’t fair that you can’t marry him. Why don’t you move to Canada?"
"Because you’re here, and my job, and a lot of things that I love."
"Then I wish that Americans could be as smart as Canadians."
