(no subject)
So I survived my first Expo.
I realise it was probably a quieter one but I pretty much enjoyed it - despite the really bad decision not to wear my hiking shoes that i wear all the time.
Why was this a bad idea? Simple, we got lost looking for our hotel. :P
Anyway, after a good laugh watching Eurovision and Wrong Turn with Rach, Hilary, Karen and Allison we turned in although i'm not sure how well anyone slept since the room was frakking boiling.
So Expo, not overly scared by the "anime/cosplay freaks" and quite a lot of cool stuff scattered around the stalls, i was good and didnt get anything as was Karen. Before going in we met up with Jaina, remarkably easily considering we'd expected to have to search for her.
But as for the reason we went, Galactica guests. yay.
AJ and Rehka looked as cool as ever. Felt guilty as i was on a budget - self restrained - which meant i didnt get to go chat to them.
Aaron Douglas is a very cool person. And thinks I was jealous of him for hugging my girlfriend :P (So he told her anyway)
Eddie is amazing. Its like he lives his life with the poise and articulation of Adama. Usually when you meet someone from a show you pick out easily their differences from what you know them as. In his case - he's utterly as awesome. And yay for our resounding So Say We All. Cept Rach of course :P And Aaron, who'd disappeared probably to the loo since he commented that cylons have small bladders lol. This was actually in reference to Rehka but I'd say the same applies.
Andie Tong drew me an OUTSTANDING X-23 sketch which I'll upload and show if anyone wants to see.
And a nice surprise was David Hine being there, he looked bored so I went and geek chatted with him for a while.
all in all had fun, tis always fun hanging out with Echelon peeps.
