Who's got a twitter?

Hoosgot (pronounced "Who's got") is a really great effort to bring Lazyweb back. The idea here is quite simple: Say you have a question whose answer has been evading you or you are just too lazy to research it yourself, you can send out a call for help on the Blogsphere. Just make sure that your blog pings the Technorati servers and the post in question has the literal word hoosgot in the post body. The post will be consequently picked up by the system and attract responses from the community. Reading through the project release notes, I was intrigued by the spam detection techniques being employed. I will try and research more on this topic or send out a hoosgot plea instead :)

In other news, I have decided to take the plunge into the world of micro-blogging. Fellow twitter users can follow me on @scouredimage. Over the last couple of days that I have been using it, it hasn't really proved to be a useful tool but I am going to keep at it for a few more days before deciding on the verdict.

twitter, hoosgot, spam detection
