Driveby Multifandom Reccage
In the past couple of weeks, my friends list has been full of some awesome fics. Just wanted to share.
Naruto:
20 Things About the Sannin by cynic_in_charge. This is one of the "20 facts you don't know about..." style fics. I've read a lot of them recently and this one, about Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru, is up there with the best. It's funny and really gets at their characters in a way that few fics do.
Three Weeks, She Sleeps by jc_eastling/annwyd. Sakura is dying, and we see how Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi react. SasuNaru and KakaRin. This fic gets at the characters of Sasuke and Kakashi in a really interesting way. Sasuke feels a little bit out of character, but it's set a few years in the future after a lot of shit has gone down, so he could definitely evolve this way. And I don't really buy a past Kakashi/Rin romance, but within the context of the story it works really well.
Bleach:
Black Cat Scat by lacewood. Wow - awesome Urahara/Yoruichi, exploring some of their time spent in our world. Urahara tinkers with a piano, Yoruichi demonstrates the full cat-ness of her personality. A must read if you like either of these characters (and really, who doesn't?).
Contagion, Chapter One and Two by incandescens. A WIP, in which Renji has to investigate a new kind of Hollow, or possibly it's a virus, or maybe both. She needs to write more so we can find out. Renji is hilarious, and the story is intriguing.
The Adventure of the Thirteen Captains, Chapter One by incandescens. Her other WIP. This one is a Sherlock Holmes-style parody. Completely tongue in cheek, really funny.
Harry Potter:
If You've A Ready Mind, Chapter One by mistful. This is a story that one should probably not read if s/he is going to consume a beverage simultaneously. Said beverage has a high probability of ending up on one's monitor if one ignores this warning. This is a story about if Draco were sorted into Ravenclaw. Maya's Draco is hilarious and sweet (although I wouldn't tell him that). Eventually, this is supposed to be Draco/Harry, but nothing has really happened on that front yet.
Tightening the Hold by wildestranger. Remus/Sirius porn, with a tie. Very hot, very NC-17. Oh, how I love manipulative Remus!
