That is our hope. I have seen us get hosed in the last two negotiations and I think we may win this one yet. I hope your situation is stable and good in terms of teaching and funding and all. Let me know haw it is going.

Hope the first day of Job Alert went well

Supposedly I have funding for at least another year until I go through comps (although I haven't actually heard what my assignment is for next fall) - advisor is trying to think of fellowships for diss. Main concern right now is the summer - the school no longer allows TA/TF's to sign up for 12 month pay, so I have no income over the summer. I've tried squirreling money into a interest-bearing account, and I might have just enough to cover the rent on my current apartment until the lease runs out, but not too much else beyond that (like utilities or car payments).

So after the actual work I need to do this semester, I need to calculate if it would be better to stay here or head up north, and if I should work as well as start the comp thing over the summer. And at some point also need to find a new place to live and figure out how to pay them security/rent/whatever they initially want.
