Fuck College
I have never been so frustrated with College as I am right now. This is the most ridiculous bullshit ever.
I have come to the conclusion, that as it stands right now, I'd be learning more and earning more money if I'd skipped college and gone straight to Chicago to start editing video and to be an actor.
I am not paying thousands of dollars to do fucking "neutral scene' exercises in Acting class, and be a bitch of this theatre. 45 hours of stagecraft lab. Two fucking practicums (running tech on a show). Ok, I didn't get into any shows this semester. I'm fine with that. What pisses me off though, is when I want to broaden my horizons and do theatre work at Muncie Civic Theatre, and I CANT because I'm scheduled to do bitchwork for this department when those performances run.
I am paying to work for them. I am being used, and I am PISSSSSSSEDDD!
As for T-Com, I'm learning the most doing extracurricular film and sketch projects. I have no doubt that if I got a good internship in the city, I would learn everything I'm learning in these ridiculous classes.
Things had better get a hell of a lot better in the next year. If they don't, I am getting the fuck out of this bullshit University. I'd save money, and maybe actually learn something useful.
