Looking at it now

Quote of the day: "When the gods really want to punish us, they give us exactly what we want" ~Old Greek saying. Wow.

Ok, this is the first entry backed by serious emotion that I have made in a while, so bear with me.

Do you ever feel like your life is something out of a Shakesperian tragedy? A sad story where you did everything you could, tried your absolute hardest, put forth your body and soul...and it just wasn't enough. A story not much unlike a dream; where you can only watch everything unfold around you, as you desperately try to move, but to no avail. A story where fate was against you before you even started your endeavor. A story so plotted out, that the combined names of the protagonists not only exists as a real word, but actually means Tragedy.

"This even handed justice commends the ingredience of our poisoned chalice to our own lips."

There is no easy way out of this. At some point, you have to learn to let go of that which you love. Even if letting go is among the hardest things you've ever done. To give the gift of happiness to another, at the cost of your own sorrow.

Perhaps this sorrow then leads to something more. And therein lies the quest for happiness. Searching to turn pain into positivity; darkness into light; shadow into substance.

At some point, God said: "To give and not to count the cost".

Somewhere out there, God is laughing at me.
